6-7pm Concert with Trio Klein

Programme: trios by Klein and Sollima; pieces for solo violin, viola, cello and loop station

Meet Kamila Bydlowska (violin), Shiry Rashkovsky (viola) and Riccardo Pes (cello) and get to know them in this intimate concert where they will play some of their favourite pieces and chat about their life in a highly successful ensemble.

8.30pm-late Classical remix DJ set with Gabriel Prokofiev

Programme: DJ-set from Gabriel Prokofiev (Classical & Contemporary electronics) + a selection of works for Viola & Electronics by Gabriel Prokofiev

Join Gabriel for an exciting and boundary-defying DJ set on our opening night, where he will share classical remixes alongside a live performance with Shiry Rashkovsky (viola) and speak about the evolution of his music from his deeply-rooted classical heritage into experimental electronica.

11am-12pm Q&A with Raffaello Morales

Banker-turned-musical entrepreneur Raffaello will share the story of his decision to change career paths and follow his childhood dream of a life in music.

1.30-2.30pm Workshop with Nimrod Borenstein

World-renowned composer Nimrod Borenstein will trace the composition of his Souvenir op. 49 with a live step-by-step demonstration by Shiry Rashkovsky (viola) and Raffaello Morales (piano) in this illuminating workshop.

6-7pm Concert with Francesca Dego

Programme: Bach Chaconne, Kreisler Recitative and Scherzo-Caprice, Boccadoro ‘Come d’Autunno’ , Corigliano ‘The Red Violin’ Caprices

Get to know Francesca in this cosy concert, where she will chat about life on the road and open up about her lifelong relationship with the instrument.

8.30-9.30pm Concert with Abel Selaocoe

Programme: movements from Benjamin Britten’s Suite no. 1 for Solo Cello, interspersed with melodies and improvisations on themes from South Africa

Hear about Abel’s personal musical journey in this intimate concert, where he will combine classical and folk elements from Britain and South Africa, and chat about finding his musical voice in a saturated industry.

Meet Jessica, author of Odette and former music correspondent for the Independent in this candid Q&A, where she will share her personal experiences as one of the most prolific music writers of her generation.

1.30-2.30pm Families’ concert with Lucy Drever

A concert for the whole family! Join Lucy on a musical adventure that everyone can enjoy together.

Lucy is a prolific figure in music education. She leads workshops for the Benedetti Foundation, Wigmore Hall, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra.

Programme: Bach Cello Suites nos. 5 & 6

Get to know Guy in this intimate concert where he reveals some of his personal musical experiences as a prolific international soloist, recording artists and teacher.
